A few practical answers
Sponsorship and job-search FAQs.
Understand what our company profiles and job listings can tell you, and choose the next step that fits your search.
Does a sponsor licence mean every job offers sponsorship?
No. A licence permits an employer to sponsor eligible workers on its licensed routes. Whether a particular vacancy offers sponsorship depends on the role and employer. Read the advert and ask the hiring team if the wording is unclear. Explore job listings and check the evidence shown on each page.
What does an employer match tell me?
It means we have matched the employer identity to a sponsor-register profile using the evidence available to us. It does not confirm a job offer, visa eligibility or a promise of sponsorship. If the identity is uncertain, the job page should say so rather than present a match as verified.
How fresh is the sponsor information?
The register snapshot date appears on company pages and in the footer. It records the dataset used for the profile. Read how we verify for the distinction between register data, company sources and job-listing evidence.
Why can a licensed company have no jobs listed?
A sponsor register is not a vacancies feed. A company may hold a licence without a vacancy that we currently track. Start with the company’s verified careers link if one is available, or explore companies with tracked vacancies.
How do I apply for a job?
Open the job page, read the advert details and follow the employer application link. The employer or its hiring platform handles the application. Looking at a company profile or saving a job on LegitSponsors is not a submitted application.
Is the company’s register location the same as the workplace?
Not always. A sponsor profile shows the location recorded for that register entry. The job advert may describe a different workplace, several locations or remote work. Use the location directory to research employers and read the individual listing for the role’s location.
Do the occupation groups confirm visa eligibility?
No. Our occupation browsing groups organise tracked job titles. For visa eligibility, ask the employer for the occupation code and use the official Skilled Worker job guidance . The work described by the duties matters.
Can a calculator guarantee the outcome of an application?
No. A calculator result depends on the answers and assumptions used. Read the tool’s notes, check its linked official sources and confirm the details of your actual job offer. You can find the tools in calculators and checklists.
Are register changes the same as visa-rule changes?
No. Register changes compare the employer entries in our snapshots. Rule Changes takes you to dated Home Office and UKVI publications about immigration rules. Read the original source and the dates that apply to the specific change.
Where are my saved jobs kept?
Saved jobs are kept in this browser on this device. They can disappear if you clear browser storage or use a different browser. Use your saved jobs to return to a vacancy; saving it does not contact the employer or submit an application.
What should I do if a job looks suspicious?
Check the employer identity and read the sponsorship scam guide. Use a verified company or careers source where available. An official-looking company name in a message is not, by itself, proof that the sender represents the employer.
How can I report incorrect information?
Email [email protected] with the page URL, the item that appears wrong and a reliable source we can check. Include the employer’s official page or relevant register information where possible.
Have a company in mind?
Search its name and start with the licence facts and current job evidence.
