How we verify sponsors
Trust is the product. Here is exactly how sponsor data reaches these pages, and where our limits are.
The pipeline
- Source. We pull the official "Worker and Temporary Worker" CSV from the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors publication page, preferring the gov.uk Content API (the CSV link intermittently disappears from the page HTML). Published under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
- Cleaning. Stray whitespace is stripped from every field. Town names are case-normalised ("LONDON" and "London" become one town). The 'Type and Rating' column is parsed into licence type (Worker / Temporary Worker) and rating (A, B and rare variants).
- Grouping. One organisation can hold several register rows (multiple routes). Rows are grouped by normalised organisation name so each employer gets one page listing all its licensed routes.
- Stamping. Every page carries the CSV pull date as its "last verified" date.
Honest limits
- The register lists legal entity names, which don't always match the brand name on a job advert. Where a match is weak we say so rather than guessing.
- The CSV contains no licence numbers and no Certificate of Sponsorship issuance history, so we publish neither. CoS history is on our roadmap; we will never estimate it.
- Salary thresholds are config-driven, not hardcoded. The general Skilled Worker threshold has been £41,700 a year since 22 July 2025 (or the occupation's going rate, whichever is higher); Health and Care roles have separate rules.

- April 2024 – July 2025 — the previous general threshold was £38,700.
Thresholds change. Always confirm the current figure in the official Skilled Worker visa guidance on GOV.UK before making decisions based on it.
